Following three successive home games, Knaresborough travelled to Bradford on Saturday to take on Campion.

Campion had a great early chance, but Tommy Brown, on his return to the side, made a great tip over to keep out Nathan Cartman’s shot.

Jack Emmett then broke through on to Ewan Gregson’s pass only to pull his effort wide of the post.

The next chance fell to Eddie Cass, but his header struck the crossbar from Gregson’s corner.

A series of cautions then followed and with two to his name a red card was shown to Campion’s midfielder, Michael O’Brien, with the rest of the half being chanceless until Gregson’s late effort flew wide.

Danny Edwards pulled a shot wide after the break, but Knaresborough then went ahead in the 62nd minute when Ben Parkes headed back a Gregson corner and Sam Cook bundled in from close range.

Knaresborough continued to press and Edwards broke through only to have Brad Emmerson save his shot, but the final few minutes were made more tense after Cass was shown a second yellow card and left both sides with ten men.

Edwards had another effort saved from Dom Creamer’s cross, but the defence held out against strong home pressure late on as two mad scrambles kept the ball out of goal and saw the three points head to North Yorkshire.
