The first league visit to Pickering Town saw more points lost as the side was unable to hold on to a first half lead.

Matty Dawes fired the first shot narrowly wide before Eddie Cass looped a header over the bar when Knaresborough settled.

Jack Carr came close to opening the scoring when he stooped to head wide from a Lewis Stephens cross from the left side, but it was only a further three minutes before Knaresborough went ahead in the 45th minute.

Dom Creamer outpaced James Ward down the left wing and crossed as he appeared to be fouled, but the ball fell to Stephens who had the easy task of scoring from close range.

Stephens then had a chance to add to the total in the period before the break, but in the 51st minute, Pickering levelled after a free kick hit the inside of the right post and fell to Blake Drury to hammer home.

Chances remained at a premium with Wayne Brooksby going close for the home side and Stephens having a shot and a lob kept out by Toby Wells as the game petered away with neither side fully in charge.
