Peter Plews to step down as Chairman

After a lengthy involvement with the club Peter Plews has decided to step down as Chairman at the end of the current season. As a supporter Peter began helping the club with work projects around the ground then, having joined the Committee, he became treasurer circa 2013 and was elected Chairman in 2016.

During his time as chairman the club won Division One of the Northern Counties Football League in season 2017/2018 and were promoted to the Premier Division where we are now a well-established side. With a Reserve side in the West Yorkshire Premier Division, a newly established Women’s side and strong links with Knaresborough Celtic, the club is in a strong position and still growing.

Everybody at Knaresborough Town would like to thank Peter for his hard work and commitment to the club and we wish him all the best for the future.
